Duck Classification

Ducks are classified into two main groups, Dabblers and Divers. Dabblers are normally found in shallow water and feed along the surface. Typically, dabblers skim the surface of the water with their bills feeding on plants, seeds and insects. In addition to skimming the surface they can be seen tipping over to feed off of the bottom of shallow water areas with the back half of their bodies sticking out of the water.

DABBLING and TIPPING are the exact actions that the DECOY DABBLER produces in your decoys. see video

Divers often go 20 feet underwater to find food. Extra large, webbed feet give them great diving power. Divers eat more animals, such as insects and snails. As divers go underwater for food, they squeeze the air out of their feathers and kick with both feet at the same time for a bigger push.

Larger decoys, when attached to the Decoy Dabbler,™ dabble along the surface of the water imitating the surface skimming style feeding of real dabbling ducks. The life like action imitated by this Mallard decoy is amazing.   Smaller decoys, when attached to the Decoy Dabbler,™ slip in and out of the water like real ducks tipping in shallow water for grass. The diving action adds an amazing life like quality to your entire decoy spread.
Waterfowl interacting with Decoy Dabbler

Check out this video of a goose, brought in by the realistic diving action of the decoy. Many different types of waterfowl are intreagued by the life like action. He comes in to investigate whether or not he can get a free meal. Most Importantly, he is NOT SPOOKED by the natural decoy feeding action. When you can fool the pros, "Thats Realistic."
